Green methanol plant in Gijón

Technical and initial engineering development of a 100,000 t/year green methanol production project for the maritime sector. AtlantHy’s scope began with the initial conceptualisation, and ended with the delivery of an engineering description of the plant and sufficient definition to begin environmental procedures. Generation costs and the carbon footprint of the fuel produced were also calculated. Our role included, in addition to the initial engineering tasks, leading a successful grant application process that culminated in our project being awarded €15M, distinguishing our proposal as the fourth best out of more than 100 submissions.
