Steel plant carbon capture study

Technical report for the capture of 200,000 tCO₂/year from plate and rail furnaces at a steel plant. The study included the definition of two recommended solutions (cryogenic and amine-based), the development of PFDs detailing thermal and electrical consumption as well as product, amine, and other process streams. It also involved a CAPEX and OPEX analysis to determine the plant’s capture cost, along with the carbon footprint of the captured CO₂.
